California road trip- search for best coffee shops/cafes along the way?

I’m going on a California College trip, and since I love lattes I figured it would be fun to find the best coffee shops and cafes in each city I visit (or between cities).

Know of any awesome places to get a latte in San Diego, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, Morro Bay, Fresno, Berkeley, San Francisco, Sacramento, Davis?

I love coffee, colleges and California. Here are my favorite coffee places…

Los Angeles: Groundworks http://www.lacoffee.com/cafes.html Lots of locations, but I’ve gone to the ones in Hollywood and Downtown. Drink the B*tch’s Brew.

Santa Barbara: SB Roasting Company http://www.sbcoffee.com Go to the original shop on Motor Way, just off State Street near the 101 bridge. Try the Coconut Cream coffee. It is to die for! I have it mailed to me every month.

Berkeley: The Beanery http://www.yelp.com/biz/the-beanery-berkeley They don’t have their own website, but Yelp seems to like them. I do, too. My college sweetheart worked here, so I spent a lot of time studying in the cafe. Cute place. Great espresso. Akbar roasts it himself.
