Baume & Mercier
Baume & Mercier is a name that’s been around the watch industry for some time now. They are characterized by their signature logo, which is the symbol PHI and was adopted to the watch brand in 1964. It all began when two brothers by the names of Louis Victor and Pierre-Joseph-Celestin Baume established a watch company in the Jura region of Switzerland. They later expanded to Europe and eventually became official in London in 1850. They continued to have great success in Europe for many years. In 1918, one of the grandsons of the founding brothers formed a partnership with Paul Mercier to continue producing some of the finest watches in Europe. In 1921, the Baume & Mercier brand received the Geneva Hallmark for quality.
Today, this excellence continues with each and every Baume and Mercier watch that is created. They are loved by stars such as Meg Ryan and Kiefer Sutherland who are popular faces associated with the brand. IN addition, the company became a member of the Richemont group of luxury goods, along with famous brands like Cartier and Alfred Dunhill.
