What is the probability of DMB playing Red Rocks this summer?
And if they do not play there, which play the usual place for them in and around Denver?
Very, very, very, very slim chance. DMB has already announced their Spring tour for the year. It did not come to Denver. The next will be in Las Vegas on the 8th and 9 May. EVEN if DMB is a summer tour, then there is a chance they could return to Denver, but not a very good chance because it just here in July last year were for the Mile High Music Festival. It is said, my guess is that if they come back this summer, instead of 4 nights at Red Rocks, which then in the Pepsi Center, or a night or two may not be at the Mile High Music Festival to play …. if they have it, of course. hope I did ……… no rain on your parade
In Windhoek, we arrived at the airport and took our red Toyota Condor, which we already booked from home. On the ride into town, we were greeted by a monkey. That was a real African feel.
The City of Windhoek will be easily explored on foot and across beautiful carvings can be admired. On a small farm outside we have the first contact with wild animals, where we visited a cheetah feeding. From Windhoek we travel with our red cars to Keetmanshoop. The trip takes only about a tarmac, before continuing on the Namibian slope. We walk in the afternoon in the canyon and visit them from a vantage point overlooking the Gorge. Nature is simply great! We lived in a cabin in the Canyon Roadhouse, where we find a very tasty dinner. The sunsets in Africa are just unbelievable nice for me because it is quite different than at home.
The next day we visit the thermal baths of Ai-Ais. We also have a guided tour on a rock in the canyon Lodge, where we once again a beautiful sunset.
From the Fish River Canyon, we took the road to Luderitz. We were cold, especially at night, because even In Africa, it's really cold. The ride takes you through an unreal have, barren, sandy landscape. Sometimes the road is full of sand before the wind. And even in Luderitz, There are no paved roads.
Just outside the town of Lüderitz, the former German city has been Kolmannskoppe diamonds have been prospected. We have a tour and learned about the time when Germany occupied Namibia as a colony. From there, the next target was the farm Namib.
We drove through the loneliness of the Naukluft Mountains and as we reach the ranch, the family has been waiting on the terrace. This seclusion in the beautiful scenery but also the silence can be hardly seen as Europeans , you have to imagine, to understand it. We got into the rocks and see the spit bucks, springbok and other antelope species.
The next morning We went into the desert and the castle Buwisib. From here you can enjoy a spectacular view from the terrace of the African plains. The next day we left To be completed before sunrise in Sossusvlei this experience. We climbed the dunes and made a detour into the Sesrim Canyon. In the German town of Swakopmund, where we stayed for two Days, and even the German cheesecake at the bakery, so yummy!
On the Salt Road t we head towards Cape Cross a seal colony. Here we have , watch how the jackals hunt small and sick seals. From here you can see the Spitzkoppe, the Matterhorn of Namibia. The path leads through modest dwellings where the children on the street and selling stones. We gave them fruit and chocolate. From there we took a walk to Philips height. Our next stop is Bambatsi Holiday Ranch, of which we have a guided walk. From a hill, many animals can be observed that live there – like wild giraffes, the first we During our trip. In the evening there is a very tasty and good BBQ on the ranch.
The next morning we drove to the Etosha National Park, in front of our accommodation. The national park is fantastic, we see lazy elephants, rhinos, giraffes, antelopes, zebras and even a () lion.
This trip was really very impressive! Now, our last days and we are back at the pool under the African sun.
The people there are very friendly and approachable manner. The German language is almost everywhere spoken. We will never forget the beautiful sunsets in Namibia.
