How can I learn to play "meets bluesy playing" the piano, when a song like "Old Time Rock and Roll" on the piano?
I 'm not sure what to define precisely and to use fill up when I sing these songs like "Old Time Rock and Roll" and other similar rock / pop songs. I am a pianist, technically advanced, but my ability to improvise are not as strong. I understand and know which play chords for the songs, but I can not quite understand is the bluesy "solid" fit and when they are used, unless the piano solo and piano accompaniment fills the more interesting. Advice or resources would be greatly appreciated.
With pentatonic scales are a great way to feel, an improv, bluesy. In C: C Eb FF # G Bb 1 m3 4 a4/d5 5 m7. (Oh i see Kyle have the same scale!) You can literally play anything with the bluesy notes, and everything comes out! Also, it plays as a scale with some Syncopated sounds good.
